Fit4Tap

Fit4Tap is a tap dance fitness fusion class. No tap experience is required, just an enthusiasm to get fit and have fun!

The class starts with a set warm up. Then we raise the pulse more through 3 choreographed fitness routines. The steps are taught using repetitions, adding progressions and alternatives as we go. We then put the moves together in the full routine. The most important thing here is to keep moving and enjoy yourself! The class ends with a whole body stretch to ensure there isn't a build up of lactic acid in the muscles and to reduce the risk of injury.

Zumba

Zumba is more like a party than exercise! 

​

The class runs non-stop for 45 minutes to a mix of music and dance styles. We raise the pulse slowly during 2 warm up tracks, followed by an interval style structure to really get you sweating, with faster tracks and slower tracks running back to back. Each class varies and uses a mix of styles including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Bhangra and Pop. The class finishes with a whole body stretch to ensure there isn't a build up of lactic acid in the muscles and to reduce the risk of injury.

FAQs

Do I need to be a good dancer?

Not at all! The routines combine dance, toning and fitness moves. Routines are repetitive so by the end of the track you recognise the moves! Verbal and visual cues make the classes easy-to-follow so you can relax and enjoy yourself. And if you do get something wrong keep moving, smiling and pick it up when you can! The more you come the more familiar routines will be! 


What should I wear? 

Sports wear/fitness clothing. Trainers for Zumba, tap shoes/trainers for Fit4Tap.

Do I need tap shoes for Fit4Tap?

No, this is a dance fitness class and can be done in trainers or dance trainers as well as in tap shoes. If you would like to buy some tap shoes I am happy to advise you on the best type for this class. 

 

Do I need anything else?

Make sure you have water to hand to stay hydrated. You may need a towel. And a smile!
