Fitness through Fun
I have danced all my life and it has always brought a lot of joy! I first entered the world of dance fitness when I attended a Zumba class in 2011, and absolutely loved it! I loved the energy, the music and the choreography. In the years since I have consistently attended Zumba classes, with a few breaks to have my 3 children. Dance fitness enables me to be fit and healthy, and exercise without feeling like I’m doing exercise. I am really interested in the mental health benefits of exercise, and the fun element of this type of class really boosts people, even on their bad days.
During the first Covid lockdown I decided to train to become a Level 2 Dance Fitness Instructor. As part of this process I discovered Fit4Tap. It was sheer joy putting on my tap shoes to do a class that was focused on fitness but incorporated the dance elements that I love.
I am qualified to teach Zumba and Fit4Tap. The training was really enjoyable and I have already had lots of fun teaching on Zoom! I am so excited to now be teaching face to face classes whilst still being able to keep up the Zoom classes!
